I'm so happy to be part of Jenn Cooksey's cover reveal for her book LANDSLIDE. I met Jenn a year and a half ago at a Phoenix Author Event, and I absolutely love this lady! She asked me to share one of the awesome songs that inspired a chapter in this book, and that's included below.
Also, if you read LOSING ENOUGH, I featured an excerpt from this beautiful story at the end. <3
For Erica and Cole, the bond of friendship was forged in childhood.
Now, torn and broken by grief, that bond will become paramount as two friends look to one another for comfort, strength, and hope in the aftermath of loss. On a journey taken both together and alone, Erica and Cole search for healing and life born anew. Although when mistakes, secrets and betrayal are revealed, the two must each learn to accept that even saints and some angels are human and people aren’t always who they appear to be.
But in the age old struggle to forget and forgive, realization dawns. And with it, so does the understanding that sometimes, the sturdiest foundation for the future lies buried in the dust of the past. Because, for some people…
…love is friendship caught on fire.

THE REDEMPTION OF SOUL DALLAS
(Release date: January 27th, 2015)
Eighteen and homeless, Soul Dallas has more to worry about than what he’ll be doing this New Year’s. In a town where compassion is rare and malice plenty, he’s left for dead by a gang seeking revenge for his father’s debts.
When anxiety-burdened Lana provides him with shelter, she’s swept into his world of pandemonium where fear means fight not flight. Leaving behind her imprisoned life with an over-bearing mother, she learns of Soul’s shocking past and what it truly means to be alive. But when the gang closes ranks and Soul falls ill, finding a bright future seems futile.
Together Soul and Lana must seek reason behind an ally’s betrayal, a dead woman’s return, and the ruthlessness behind some people’s need for vengeance.
But the pair don’t always see eye to eye, and each have plans that could jeopardise everything.

Lightning ripped the sky apart. Soul’s eyes held a storm of their own as he used his index finger to gesture her forward.
